Arpin Van Lines was acquired by The Wheaton Group

April 28, 2020

On 24 April 2020, Arpin Van Lines was acquired by The Wheaton Group. This acquisition allows Wheaton to have all of its five brands under one umbrella (Wheaton World Wide Moving, Bekins Van Lines, Stevens Worldwide Van Lines, Arpin Van Lines, and Clark and Reid). Wheaton’s acquisition of Arpin Van Lines makes Wheaton the fourth largest van line in the country.

Arpin Van Lines had been headquartered in Rhode Island, USA for 120 years after being founded by the Arpin family in 1900.  David and Peter Arpin will continue to run family-owned agents under Arpin Van Lines as part of The Wheaton Group. Arpin’s other divisions, including Arpin International Group, will continue under Arpin Group, Inc. with no affiliation to The Wheaton Group.

Performing household goods moving services as an agent for The Wheaton Group, Arpin Moving, Inc.’s clients will enjoy a stronger agency network throughout the United States and Canada. Our clients will experience a seamless transition and will benefit from additional industry capacity year-round and high-quality service at the time when it’s needed most in our industry.

“Our company’s legacy will continue to live on as we adapt and remain flexible amidst the changing business climate,” said David Arpin, Arpin Group’s President and CEO. “Our core principles of quality, trust, professionalism, and accountability have served us well over the years and will continue to serve as a compass that guides our thoughtful decisions based on exceeding our customers’ needs and expectations.”
